Potential Reasons to Get a Second Opinion!

1. Verify a Diagnosis - There are times when two different providers, within or out of the same profession, can review the same medical file and diagnose two different conditions with two very different courses of treatment. A second opinion will allow for confirmation or alteration of a previous diagnosis

2. Explore All Treatment Options - Spinal conditions can be treated in a multitude of different ways; ranging from invasive procedures, such as surgery or injections, and prescription drugs to less risky conservative treatment options. Are you concerned your recommended treatment plan is to long? Find out what other treatment options may be available and ask about the cost and potential risks and benefits of each of the options you are considering.

3. Find a Doctor You Trust - Find someone you trust, are able to develop a good rapport with, and have full confidence in.

If you feel comfortable in all three areas, then a second opinion may not be needed.

When scheduling a second opinion consultation please bring all medical records that you have access to, including doctors notes, x-rays, and/or MRI's
